I am Hristo Voivodov — Founder and Chief Wave Chaser at Soulty Sails.  
I’ll be your captain on our Soulty adventures at sea.

 

I first took the helm in 2001, when I was just 12 years old. Since then, the wind and waves have been my home. After so many years and nautical miles, instead of growing tired of the sailing life, I can’t seem to get enough of it. The more time I spend on board, the hungrier I become for adventure.

 

Soulty Sails was born as the final piece of my Ikigai - the place where passion, skill, purpose, and profession meet. I already loved sailing, and I was good at it. Turning it into my life’s work was the natural next step.

 

Soulty Sails is my way of sharing my love and excitement for life under sail. I take great joy in creating a fun, relaxed, and adventurous atmosphere on board. Whether it’s guiding you to hidden gems in familiar waters or exploring new magical places together, every journey is special.

 

While I take safety and my responsibilities extremely seriously, I also carry a childlike excitement for adventure, exploration, and continuous learning.

 

As much as I enjoy sailing myself, I find twice the fulfillment in teaching others the art and science of sailing. Being a captain is a lifelong journey - it’s not about completing one course, three courses, or even a hundred. No two trips are ever the same. Each voyage brings new challenges that require not only knowledge and experience, but also creativity.

 

Immersed in this life of constant growth, I continuously strive to sharpen my skills - and I love sharing that knowledge with those just beginning their own journey at sea.
